ACOLYTE burst onto the Australian Music scene with the release of Shades of Black (August 2016), and have brought their unique and powerful musical soundscape to venues across the country. The release of their debut record was highly anticipated after two national headline tours supporting the singles Perceptions and The Message, as well as supporting Bellusira (AUS/USA) at their Melbourne show.
Released in August 2016, Shades of Black quickly reached 10th in the iTunes album charts (rock/alternative), after which Acolyte became a featured artist on Melbourne’s Triple M and The Message was added to rotational airplay on national broadcaster Triple J. The album also received a nomination for The Age Victorian Music Awards (Best Heavy Album 2016), with the band also nominated for Australia’s Independent Music Awards (Best Live Performance 2016). The team surrounding the project - including award winning Australian Producer Ben Ehrenberg (Shihad and Calling all Cars) and Tony ‘Jack the Bear’ Mantz (Delux Studios) - agree that the success of this release has set the tone for this emerging band’s career.
“It is of the utmost importance to us that we match the energy captured on Shades of Black and provide a performance to fans which reflects the music they’ve heard and is as visually engaging as the videos they’ve seen. We have been working so hard on our live performance... It’s a big part of who we are. We have seen people’s faces and reactions at our shows and we want to make sure people don’t want to miss a second. We are working to better the experience of every fan time and time again... We feed off it. I feel that this is one of the most important things for us to focus on right now.” – Morgan-Leigh Brown
Following a successful album launch in Melbourne and a series of regional shows, Acolyte have gone on to support Twelve Foot Ninja on their national Outlier album release tour (Aug/Sep 2016), and Melbourne heavyweights Jericco at their farewell show (Nov 2016).
Much of Acolyte’s blend of theatrical, and at times heavy progressive rock has developed due to the vast array of influences and styles brought to the band by each individual member. Lead vocalist Morgan-Leigh Brown has a background in musical theatre and is classically trained, providing distinctive and soaring vocals. This has combined with the rhythmic, and effects-driven bass lines of Jason Grondman, sweeping pads and analogue lead key-boards of David Van Pelt, chunky riffs and ambient layering by guitarist Piotr Borzeta, and dynamic and expressive drumming of Chris Cameron.
“We have always stayed true to our individual influences, which has definitely helped us create our very own sound and style.” – Morgan-Leigh Brown
Acolyte have already begun writing for the follow up release to Shades of Black, with a heavy touring schedule planned for 2017. Check out all the buzz, band-news, media, the store & more! Visit: ACOLYTE.com.au

From inception, Blue Movie has set out to make a unique collection of original music that treads the fine lines between musical genres. From studio to stage, the band strives to relay sincere and real emotion in all of their musical endeavors. Their sound encapsulates many of the band's various musical influences that culminate into hard edged guitar riffs, driving bass runs, impactful defined drumming, deep stirring synth lines, and catchy vocal phrasing.
The band released their debut EP, “8MM Love Songs” in late 2012 with the single Murder Will Out. The concept of this video inspired local comic artists / publications to create a compilation comic based on the band while tying in their music to the storylines titled ”On The Loose" - "The Blue Movie Chronicles". With their new horror themed music video and comic the open doors to the world of sci-fi and horror culture were fully and unexpectedly realized.
The sequel, "Delusions in Technicolor" (2014), further expressed the band's need to once again grow their sound while striving to push the limits of their writing and production skills in the studio. With the single from the this EP, titled ”Sewing Shadows”, the band attempted to tap into the intricacies of studio work and experiment with an array of ear catching melodies and blending of textures. Which, in turn, help set the mood for the entire EP. The following 8 minute music video for Sewing Shadows was released along with 2 comics that year (Survive the Five & Revelations Pt1). With this and past comic releases under their belts the band found themselves showing at NYC Comic Con for 3 years in a row.
With their latest release titled, "Synthetic III" (2015), the band embraced a darker tonality adding a more aggressive energy to the mix along with some lineup changes. The title tracks "Nebula" & "Electric Water" were meant to convey the raw energy of the band and their persistence to stay in today's ever changing and unrelenting music arena. This Ep was also released alongside a new comic book titled "Echoes Across Time”. The book and its story-line spawned an idea for an alter ego to Blue Movie under the moniker Black Film which is used on the page and off, to express different facets of the band’s personality as a whole.
Blue Movie is based in New York City and tours regionally performing at venues such as, The Paramount NY, The Gramercy Theater NYC, The Gin Mill PA, Dingbatz NJ, Revolution NY, Black Thorn 51 NY, Galapagos Art Space NY and many others. Blue Movie has played in support for acts such as Otep, The Hollywood Undead, Smile Empty Soul, Buck Cherry, Puddle of Mudd, Thrill Kill Kult, Genitorturers, Fire From The Gods, Lynch Mob and many others.
Blue Movie is Tony Paris guitars, Lisa Foerderer drums, Anthony Noto vocals, David Orozco bass. For more info, visit: BLUEMOVIEMUSIC.com

CHARETTA is a female-fronted modern rock band based out of New York City. Their sound can be described as aggressive, groove heavy rock topped with in your face, passionate vocals. Their 2016 release “Fate Strikes Twice” was recorded at VuDu Studios in Port Jefferson, New York and produced by Mike Watts (Story of the Year, Theory of a Deadman). The twelve song LP includes two new songs recorded in 2016 and ten remastered tracks from the band’s two previous EP’s “Apocalypse” and “A Nation Distracted”. Overall, the album displays the bands growing maturity as recording artists and features some of their most memorable work. “Great grooves, monster riffs and killer vocals,” describes Watts.
The band formed in 2007 when Angelina moved from her hometown of Kansas City to New York City. Soon after, she met Pablo and Adonis who were searching for a singer to front their new project. “She sang on our demos and just blew us away. One audition was all we needed to hear,” says Adonis. The three immediately sparked a chemistry and began writing music together. Several months later they added Rich as their bassist and the band’s core foundation was born. Once the pieces were in place, they traveled to Orlando, Florida to record their debut self-titled EP “Charetta” with producer Brett Hestla (Tantric, Framing Hanley). It was released in 2008 and was later followed by a full length album in 2009 entitled “Defying the Inevitable”, also produced by Brett Hestla. That same year, they filmed their first music video for the song “It Runs in the Blood”. The video was featured in the independent film “5th of a Degree,” which won awards at both the Miami and Las Vegas film festivals.
In 2010, the band made a creative decision to expand their sound and added Chris as their second guitarist. “Chris and I have very similar styles, so it was a pretty natural fit and easy transition for us,” shares Pablo. Later that year, the band began recording music with producer Mike Watts for the first time and would later release their “A Nation Distracted” EP in 2011. Coinciding with the release was a new video for the song “Lights Out” which featured Angelina in a girl vs. girl “Fight Club” type scene. “I was trained to do stage combat in college, so when the opportunity came up to assemble a storyline, it was an obvious decision to include some fighting,” adds Angelina. CHARETTA returned to VuDu Studios in 2013 to record their “Apocalypse” EP. Soon after, the band would host a sold-out CD release show at New York City’s Gramercy Theatre.
Over the past decade, CHARETTA has opened for such national acts as Soundgarden, Nine Inch Nails, Hinder & Red, and have clocked in over 200 live performances. They are now setting their sights on new heights and are poised to make a significant impact with their latest offering.
On Friday, January 13th 2017, Charetta released their new full length album "Fate Strikes Twice" during the ACNK Entertainment presentation on their return to the The Gramercy Theatre, New York City. The showcase was performed with other great regional acts in Streepthroat, Jackson James, and headliner Bound By Substance. Charetta are Angelina DelCarmen lead vocalist, Pablo LaFrossia guitar, Christopher Fullam guitar, Richard Mollo bass, and Adonis Sanchez drums.

The group boasts bluesy and richly expressive vocals, mesmerizingly textured guitar playing, and a dynamic and imaginative rhythm section. Since the age of ten, singer, *AUDRA*, and guitarist, Pat Walsh, have been writing songs together and released their first EP, Late Night Companions, in 2012 followed by EPs Up and Up and At the 426 in 2013. The band writes about relatable subject matter - darkness, love, loss, partying, and sex - inviting listeners to connect with the raw, passionate lyrics.
In 2013, the band made its television debut, performing two songs on WTNH's Connecticut Style Stage 8 and returned to Stage 8 in March 2016 and February 2015 to promote their singles and self-titled album. The band made their first official licensing placement in January 2014 with the commissioned remake of their song “Road (Indecision)” as the main title for the independent motion picture, Acting Like Adults. CLOSE2DEATH is a female fronted alternative rock band from Staten Island, NY. Their goal is to touch people's hearts of with melodic lyrics and beats that keep you moving. The band's sound is a combination of rock, punk, metal and melodic harmonies with female leads and male backing vocals.
Close2Death was formed in 2005 by lead guitarist Chad Anthony and drummer Mikey Mike Caiazzo, along with Mike Fennimore on rhythm guitar/vocals and Matthew Lund on bass. Wanting to add lyrics to the screams, the band found its missing link with new lead singer, Dee Dial from Austin, TX. With personnel changes and Dee's powerful voice, we stepped into the studio and recorded our first EP "Y" (2007) with Brian Jimenez on vocals and Ben Longwell on bass. It was produced and recorded by established musician, Billy Graziadie of Biohazard at Underground Sound Studios, South Amboy, NJ.
To promote our EP, we began to play local shows in the NYC area. We started landing gigs at Kenny Castaways, The Bitter End, Crash Mansion and Webster Hall. We then branched out into New Jersey and Pennsylvania playing shows at Six Flags Great Adventure, Starland Ballroom and Bootleggers (PA) among many others. The EP received positive reviews and a good deal of college and Internet Radio Airplay in the U.S. & U.K.
"The production of Y is outstanding and all tracks have a very full soud with great changes, breakdowns, choruses and smart song writing. The female vocals are superb with the backing harmonies and the added male screamer gives more of a hard edge. The pop aspects really make some of these tracks radio friendly and they fit the wave of material that is getting airplay at this time. The album shows diversity. The guitar and drums are a powerhouse and they really bring the punk side of things into play. The pop ballads work great at singles and the harder songs are great for anyone who picks up this album and is looking for something that is pop music that really rocks." ~A&R Select
Due to unfortunate circumstances, there was a breakdown in the band, causing a setback in the production of new music. Close2Death managed to stay active as we spent an enormous amount of time trying to find new musicians to fit the bands chemistry. In 2011, Nicholas Grasso joined C2D as our new drummer, with Mike Fennimore taking over the bass guitar and backing vocals. Having settled our personal issues, we went back into the studio and recorded our new EP, Fallen Faces. It was produced and recorded by John Pennino of Phrygian Studios in Staten Island, NY.
In the beginning, C2D had been a growing force in the NY/NJ music scene and their star had gotten brighter with every live performance. During those early years, C2D had made a name for themselves headlining Six Flags & Frightfest at Great Adventure, Jackson, New Jersey.
They also won December '08 Artist of the Month for Messamusic UK webzine on messamusic co uk .. Close2Death made it to the semi-finals of the 2008 Emergenza International Band Competition and came out victorious in the Supernova Brooklyn Band Battle in October 2007.

Dayna Jade is a singer/songwriter for a progressive metal band in New Jersey, who transits frequently to the Northeast, United States. Upon her travels, she often performs live shows, writes new songs, rehearses with her band, networks new contacts, while also visiting family and friends. She also does studio sessions (i.e.) vocal tracks, scratch tracks, song lyrics and melodies. Although Dayna sings metal, she is gifted in just about any genre, including rock, alternative rock, blues, pop and some country pop.
On her thoughts about music, she says, "I definitely enjoy a wide variety of music, especially growing up with both parents being singers, my mother a pop singer; father an opera singer; uncle a blues/jazz trumpet player and cousin, a conga player in a salsa band. I'm very proud to be carrying on the musical legacy my family has left behind and so diverse, to appreciate all types of music."
Dayna creates and performs music for the pure LOVE of it! Music remains her soul and heart’s desire, never ceasing, and it’s not a matter of giving up or stopping; She can’t, and never will until the day she is called home. Also, she'd like to make a difference in this world; to inspire, encourage, touch ones soul, laugh or cry, sing, dance and know, by her lyrics, to show people that they’re not alone. And for a moment, or perhaps hours, to brisk them away from life's cares with her beautiful and gifted way of expressing music.
In late 2016, Dayna became Executive Chief Administrative Officer (EVP-CAO) of The Musicians Rock Network, which entails media in video & music photography, musician support, and also providing coverage for regional, national, and world music news. Her exceptional work ethics and untiring persistence has brought the organization into a brighter scope with a broader definition. In the same year of 2016, in the month of December, she extended her career in modeling, having been photographed exquisitely and professionally on the beautiful paradise of Anna Marie Island, Florida.
"Dayna Jade is that multi-talented, yet magical woman that carries the voice of an angel, able to captivate both young and old with her vibrato and amazing vocal range!" - Nick Rapidfire
